Asian Quadrant Scale for GSM Balance is a simple and quick device which directly indicates the weight per unit area in grams per square meter (GSM) on a sector scale when a sample of selected size is suspended from a clamp fixed to the pointer arm. GSM Balance measures the GSM of fabric, paper, flooring, PVC film and other flexible sheet material. The system is supplied with two templates. The ASIAN GSM Balance is designed to give the weight per unit area of textile fabrics directly. It consists of a quadrant scale calibrated in values of GSM fixed in a vertical plane on a rigid base having provision for leveling. A pointer beam is pivoted on two jewel bearings at the center point of the scale. A specimen of specified area is cut out from the fabric with the help of either of the two templates provided (or by round cutter) and is suspended on one end of the pointer beam. The weight per unit area is read directly from the quadrant scale.

Wrap Reel is offered in both motor or hand operated models. Metric and imperial models are available. The system is used for making the lead, used for yarn strength, count measurement, and length measurement. The yarn is spread uniformly in a band of 20mm as the lead is formed. Up to 5 legs can be formed at one time. One of the arms of the reel can be docked to facilitate the removal of the lead from the reel. The number of turns is indicated on a counter. In the case of motor operated wrap reel, a fractional horsepower motor controlled by a pre-set digital counter is provided to give the movement to the reel. An electromagnetic brake is provided to stop the movement of the reel almost instantaneously to reduce the chances of over travel. The wrap reel is mounted over a fabricated thick steel sheet base plate. Bobbins of up to 100 mm diameter and 250 mm length can be mounted on the base plate. The yarn taken up from the bobbins is guided over a hook and is spread uniformly with the help of pigtail yarn guides. The guides move through a distance of 20 mm once very sixteen turns to give a lead of 20 mm width. The standard wrap reel is suitable for making either imperial or metric leads composite wrap reel which can make either of the two types of the lead with the help of an additional reel is also available. Reel of another swift perimeter can also be supplied against specific requirements.

The inside walls of the bath are made of Al Stainless steel the outside walls are made of mild CRCA sheet duly enameled. The bath is heated by means of heaters. The temperature controller controls the temperature of the water inside the bath. The temperature is indicated on a digital indicator. The bath has a double walled hinged lit made of stainless steel sheet. The jars, in which the test solution and specimens are kept during the test, are made from stainless steel. Moreover, they are provided with rubber seals for watertight closing. They are held in a stainless steel rotor assembly mounted on a stainless steel shaft at the center of the bath and rotating about a horizontal axis with the help of an electric motor and worm reduction gear box.A clockwise time is also provided to stop the motor after any pre-determined time. The apparatus is fabricated on an iron frame and is completely enclosed on all four sides with mild sheet duly enameled in dark gray hammer tone painting. The top of the apparatus is covered with stainless steel sheet. One hundred stainless steel balls of 6mm diameter are supplied with the apparatus as a standard accessory for providing beating action during the washing operation, extra steel balls and standard gray scales are available as optional accessory.A built-in preheating bath for pre-heating the test solution is also offered as an optional accessory, this bath is mounted in the same form with provision to keep the jars in place.
